  • OBC–NCL: 3 Years | SC/ST: 5 Years
  • Ex-Servicemen (with ≥ 6 months service): UR/EWS – 3 Years | OBC–NCL – 6 Years | SC/ST – 8 Years (after deduction of length of service)
  • PwBD: UR/EWS – 10 Years | OBC–NCL – 13 Years | SC/ST – 15 Years
  • Serving Group C & erstwhile Group D staff, Substitutes (≥ 3 years service): UR/EWS – up to 40 Years | OBC–NCL – up to 43 Years | SC/ST – up to 45 Years

How To Apply Online RRB Section Controller Recruitment 2025 Form

  • Create an account on the official RRB website (existing users use same credentials).
  • Valid mobile number & email ID are mandatory; cannot be changed later.
  • Aadhaar/DigiLocker verification recommended for smoother process.
  • Fill the online form with correct details; no correction after submission.
  • Choose exam medium (English/Hindi/13 regional languages) & zone preference.
  • Pay exam fee only via authorised mode; application accepted after payment confirmation.
  • Capture live photo during application (no pre-uploaded/old photos allowed).
  • Upload mandatory documents:
  • Signature (black ink, JPG/JPEG, 30–49 KB, running handwriting only).
  • SC/ST certificate (PDF, <400 KB) if availing free travel pass.
  • Applications can be rejected for incorrect signature/photo or invalid documents.

Mode Of Examination : Online Computer Based Test (CBT

Stages Of Selection :

  • Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) , 70%weightage to CBT and 30% weightage to CBAT
  • Document Verification (DV)
  • Medical Examination (Medical Standard A-2)

Pay Scale :

  • Level 6 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix: ₹35,400 initial pay

Free Train Travel Facility for SC/ST Candidates :

  • Facility available only for SC/ST candidates on request.
  • Must indicate “Yes” in the online form and upload a valid caste certificate.
  • Pass is included in e-call letter for CBT, CBAT, Document Verification, etc.
  • Candidates must give correct railway station name; else, pass may be invalid.
  • Railway staff will check original SC/ST certificate during reservation/travel.
  • Misuse of facility: candidature rejection + debarment from future RRB/RRC exams.
