  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • (Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02/04/1996 and not later than 01/04/2025.
  • Crucial Date for Age Eligibility: 01/09/2026
  • Crucial Date for Educational Qualification: 01/09/2026

Age Relaxation Applicable as per Reserve Bank of India Services Board 2026 Notification Rules

  • OBC (NCL): 3 Years | SC / ST: 5 Years
  • PwBD: UR/EWS – 10 Years | OBC – 13 Years | SC/ST – 15 Years (subject to post suitability)
  • Experience in SCBs / PSICs / AIFIs / RBI: up to 3 Years (max age 33 Years)
  • Ex-employees of banking/Govt offices retrenched (≥1 year service): 5 Years
  • DEPR / DSIM candidates with Master’s + teaching/research experience: up to 3 Years (probation not included)
  • Ex-servicemen (including ECOs/SSCOs, ≥5 years service released under prescribed conditions): 5 Years
  • ECOs/SSCOs completing initial 5 years + extended service, released on 3 months’ notice: 5 Years

Note: Cumulative relaxation allowed only for Ex-servicemen & PwBD (if also SC/ST/OBC).

Educational Qualification

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) — General

  • Graduation in any discipline / equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD), OR
  • Post-Graduation in any discipline / equivalent technical or professional qualification with minimum 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
  • (Definitions for Graduation/Post-Graduation and equivalent professional qualifications are given in the notification.)

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) — DEPR (Essential)

  • MA / MSc in Economics (or quantitative/related Economics subjects) OR
  • MA / MSc in Finance (or related Finance subjects) — minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
  • Desirable: Doctorate degree in Economics or research / teaching experience / publications.
  • Notes: SC/ST/PwBD minimum marks in MA/MSc = 50%. Specific relaxations for M.Phil./Ph.D./research experience are mentioned in the notification.

Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) — DSIM (Essential)

  • Master’s Degree (min 55% in aggregate) in Statistics / Mathematics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics / Quantitative Economics / Econometrics / Informatics / related branches, OR
  • Master’s Degree (min 55%) in Data Science / AI / ML / Big Data Analytics or related branches, OR
  • Four-year Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 60% in Statistics / Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics / Quantitative Economics / Econometrics / Informatics / Data Science / AI / ML / Big Data Analytics or related branches.
  • Desirable: Doctorate in related topics; research/teaching experience; publications.
  • Note: SC/ST/PwBD minimum marks = 50% for items (a),(b),(c).

Equivalent / Grade Point Conversion :

  • Equivalent CGPA/OGPA/CPI on 10-point scale : Aggregate Percentage of Marks: 6.75 : 60%; 6.25 : 55%; 5.75 : 50%.
  • (Where CGPA is awarded out of number other than 10, it will be normalized out of 10 and computed as above.)

How To Download RBI Officer Grade B Mains 2026 Admit Card

  • Visit the Official RBI Website: Go to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website.
  • Navigate to “Opportunities@RBI”: Scroll down the homepage and click on the “Opportunities@RBI” link (usually found at the bottom).
  • Go to “Current Vacancies” and “Call Letters”: In the new page, look for the “Current Vacancies” section and select the “Call Letters/Admission Letters” option.
  • Find the Relevant Link: Look for the link that pertains to the Phase II exam for the relevant post (General, DEPR, or DSIM). The link title will be similar to: “Admission Letters for the posts of Grade B DR (General & DEPR/DSIM) – PY-2026”.
  • Log In: A new login page will open. Enter your credentials:
    • Registration Number / Roll Number
    • Password / Date of Birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format)
    • Captcha Code (as displayed on the screen)
  • Submit and Download: Click the “Submit” or “Login” button. Your admit card will be displayed on the screen.
  • Print: Download the PDF and take at least two printouts on clean A4 size paper for the examination day.

Mode Of Examination : Online Computer Based Test (CBT)

Number of Attempts:

  • General / EWS: Maximum 6 attempts for Phase-I.
  • SC / ST / OBC / PwBD: No such restriction (if posts reserved).

Stages Of Selection :

  • Phase-I (Online Examination)
  • Phase-II (Online / Written Examination as per stream)
  • Interview (where applicable)
  • Document Verification (DV)

Pay Scale :

  • Starting Basic Pay: ₹78,450/- p.m. in the scale ₹78,450-4050(9)-114900-EB-4050(2)-123000-4650(4)-141600 (16 years) applicable to Officers in Grade ‘B’.
